The University of Stirling, located in central Scotland, is ranked in the QS World Rankings of the top 5% of universities in the world (QS World University Rankings, 2014). The results of the 2014 Research Excellence Framework (REF) highlighted the University's position as one of the top research-led universities in the UK, moving up to 6th place in Scotland and 45th in the UK.


Behaviour and Evolution Research Group

The Behaviour and Evolution Research group (BERG) is one of the research groups in the Psychology Division at the University of Stirling. The members of BERG conduct research into communication and cognition in humans, and animal behaviour, cognition and welfare, and publish high quality research which benefits a range of captive animals, including those housed in zoos and laboratories.
